Universidad del Congreso

Since its origin, the Universidad de Congreso (University of Congress; UC) has integrated education, extension and research activities.

A strategic axis of the UC is the social function it carries out. It is committed to the production, democratization and application of knowledge and aims to contribute to sustainable development by supporting a contextualized and well-qualified academic offer that promotes the training of socially committed professionals.

The educational and social mission assumed by the institution is reflected in the high number of students with scholarships. Every year, the UC benefits a high percentage of students with full and partial scholarships and “university credits”. In this way, the UC promotes and encourages young students from Mendoza (where the University is based) who need economic support and, at the same time, recognizes their academic capacity. In addition to the agreements that benefit different social institutions, scholarships are awarded annually to young people from vulnerable sectors.

Over 60% of students are part of the first generation of college students within their families.

Another distinguishing feature of the UC is its internationalization, as its Secretariat of International Cooperation has signed approximately 70 exchange agreements with universities in different countries around the world
